German media conglomerate Senator Entertainment AG reported it has won a new major shareholder, Pacific Capital Sàrl from Luxembourg. According to the announcement as required by German investment law, Pacific Capital has acquired a 29.9 % stake in Senator Entertainment AG.

Pacific Capital Sàrl was founded in 2007 by leading European investor Silvio Scaglia. The firm aims to identify and take advantage of profitable investment opportunities worldwide in public and private sectors.

Until April 2007, Mr Scaglia served as founder and majority shareholder of Italy’s second-largest telecom firm Fastweb, before selling to Swisscom. Before that, he served as CEO of Omnitel, now called Vodafone Italia.
